A home that looks perfect can feel different once you drive from it at 7:30 on a weekday morning. Enter an address and a destination to open Google Maps with the route, then check the times for the hour you would really travel.
How to get a real rush-hour answer
- In Google Maps, tap Directions, then choose Depart at and pick a weekday morning, such as Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
- Do the same for the trip home, such as Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., since the two directions can be very different.
- Try a second route or a different day if you can. Mondays and Fridays often differ from midweek.
- Then drive it once at the real time before you buy. Nothing beats that.
This tool does not calculate drive times. It opens Google Maps in a new tab with your route, so you see Google's own times. Nothing you type here is sent to us.
